The high quality restoration was commissioned by James Wade, a top notch restorer of all things FJ and known deep in the FJ circles for his outstanding quality and attention to detail on all of his trucks. This Land Cruiser lived most of its life in California, with a short time in Illinois and Mississippi before being purchased for restoration. Overall the Land Cruiser was reportedly in good shape prior to restoration but some rust areas needed attention. The original 6 cylinder 2F engine is showing recent compression numbers 1/159 2/158 3/159 4/164 5/163 6/160. Gears are shifted through a 4-speed synchronized transmission with 4-wheel drive. This FJ is equipped with the rare and quite desirable 3.70 differentials and a factory 22 gallon fuel tank. It ships from Georgia with a clean clear title in the seller’s name. Exterior: The rear quarter panels, rear sill, wheel well inside humps, and driver floor pan had evidence of rust prior to being restored. All affected areas received new steel panels from Real Steel Land Cruiser Parts. These are original die stamped steel replacement parts of very high quality. Each panel was painted using factory Beige (color code #464) in base coat clear coat. Paint alone cost nearly $13,000. The frame was cleaned, undercoated, and a black top coat was applied in a black hammer finish. Today what presents is nothing short of what you would see from the factory, if not better. Interior: inside, all seating surfaces were replaced with new upholstery and a new headliner was installed. The front seat frames, rear jump seat frames and roll bar were all powder coated. Original Toyota mats were added in the front, and the rear received a custom Lloyd mat. Sound deadening material was installed in all floor areas. All dash controls, gauges, and lights are said to be in perfect working order. The rear jump seats have new seat belts installed.Maintenance During the restoration, the following is a list of new/changed parts: New Power Steering unit BF Goodrich Radial All Terrain Terrain T/As (31″ x 10.5″ x 15″) mounted on white powder coated stock Toyota wheels New Steel rear quarter panels, rear sill, wheel well inside humps, and driver floor pan from Real Steel Land Cruiser Parts Body Bushings Carburetor rebuilt Air cleaner, heater, all skid plates powder coated New top and lower dash pads Mirrors Seat covers and foam front and rear Brake, Clutch, gas pedal pads Shifter boots and knobs Sound deadening material Custom Lloyd floor mats Turn signal assembly front and rear Radiator, Water Pump, Thermostat New windshield Window and door weather stripping Seat belts Fuel lines Rear bumperettes Front bumper Tie rod ends Corner reflectors OEM intake and exhaust manifold gasket OEM steering rag joint Emblems Stainless steel fasteners All fluids (differentials, transmission, transfer case, engine oil, anti-freeze) changed
