DESCRIPTION 1980 TOYOTA FJ40 LAND CRUISER VIN# FJ40319125 Engine# 2F 437025 Current mileage 66,800 miles. “Showroom Condition” factory Mustard Yellow (color code #532) acquired by current owner in October of 2018. This Japanese manufactured, US spec example was expertly restored by renowned FJ specialist, Chris Wade of Newnan, GA. Chris is the master of balancing functioning originality with restoration. His work and reputation are well known by FJ enthusiast. Car starts and runs strong, and is in excellent mechanical condition. All dash controls, gauges, and lights in perfect working order (except windshield wiper fluid pump). Car has many of the later model upgrades prized by enthusiast 3.70 differentials, factory 22 gallon fuel tank, power steering, etc. Car has been regularly and expertly maintained by Javier’s Autos Unlimited, Houston, TX since purchase. Always garaged and less than 3,000 miles added since purchase by current owner. Owners retains and will share all maintenance records since 2018. Recent investments and upgrades since purchase include – Old Man Emu shocks and steering damper, OEM fuel pump replacement, carburetor rebuild, new tailpipe, new spark plugs, vintage OEM Toolkit, OEM inspection light, vintage user manual, and more. I have retained and will share over 180 digital pictures documenting the restoration completed in 2018. Also have the post-restoration description and advert to assist with documenting. Notes on condition, including some restoration notes: ** Body Condition ** Land Cruiser was purchased for restoration in North, Georgia. A "frame off restoration” was performed on it. The body tub was in great condition with no signs of rust. It had cut outs for rear fender flares which I had returned to stock. The replacement steel openings were purchased from Real Steel Land Cruiser parts. This Land Cruiser did not come with a hard top or doors at time of purchase. I sourced original rust-free pieces and they were added. All parts were primed and painted piece-by-piece using factory Mustard Yellow (color code #532) in base coat clear coat by: Blalock Customs, Marietta, Ga with 31 years of experience in the industry. Frame was cleaned and top coated in a black hammer finish. ** INTERIOR CONDITION ** All seat upholstery and front seat foam is new at restoration. Rear jump seat frames and roll bar were powder coated. New top and lower dash pads installed. Original Toyota mat in front with custom Lloyd mats. Lloyd mat also installed in rear. Sound deadening material installed in all floor areas. All dash controls, gauges, and lights in perfect working order (except windshield wiper pump). Jump seats and new seat belts in place. ** MECHANICAL CONDITION ** Stock Toyota six cylinder (2F 4.2 Liter) with Power Steering. All emission components still intact. 4-speed synchronized transmission, 4-wheel drive. Intake and Exhaust Manifold removed, machined and assembled with new gaskets. Carburetor rebuilt. Differentials, transfer case, transmission, drained and new fluids added. Oil Pan Gasket new. General Radial All Terrain tires (31” x 10.5” x 15”) mounted on powder coated stock Toyota White wheels.
